  • Saipem Secures $1.9B Subsea Work at TotalEnergies’ Suriname Field

Saipem has secured a $1.9 billion EPCI contract from TotalEnergies for the GranMorgu field offshore Suriname, marking Suriname’s first major subsea development. The project includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and pre-commissioning of approximately 100 km of subsea flowlines, 90 km of injection lines, and related structures at depths of 100 to 1,100 meters. Offshore operations are scheduled for 2027-2028, with first oil expected in 2028.

In collaboration with TechnipFMC, which will manage the subsea production system and related packages, Saipem aims to enhance integration across their scopes of work. This joint effort reflects their 2021 alliance focused on pursuing integrated subsea projects and underscores the strategic importance of such partnerships in advancing offshore developments.
