Drill Collar Slips
Drill Collar Slips are multi-segment slips used for running drill collars. These slips are designed to help self-centering of pipes in the rotary table. Its multi-segment design ensures full wrap around the drill collars and helps to prevent drill collars from damage.
Slips have an API taper of 4 inches per foot on the diameter and fully complies with the requirement of API-7K specification. Slips are fitted with circular buttons and with flexible handles/standard handles.
Drill Collar Slips covering the pipe range from 3” – 14” OD.
Drill Collar slips are available in three types :
- DC-S – (Short)
- DC-R – (Regular)
- DC-L – (Long)

API Standard
- Slips are supplied confirming to API-7K Specification and duly marked with API-7K Monogram.
- Autobahn Industries is holding API-7K Licence for Rotary Slips for the last 23 years and counting.
- Technical documents such as Certificate of Conformity (COC), NDE Qualification certificates, Hardness Test Certificates etc will be provided along with the material.
Design Features
- Autobahn make Drill Collar Slips are equivalent with NOV.

- Slips are hardened and tempered which increase the lifespan of the product and provide excellent strength which increases wear resistance.
- Drill Collar Slip are used with Slip Bowl No. 1,2 & 3
- Slips come with taper; 4 inches per foot on the diameter as per API-7K specification.
- Segments have extra-long back ensuring sufficient strength & support to the inserts.
- Slips are made flat on top to ensure smooth fitting of the multi-purpose clamp.
- Circular Buttons can be replaced at the rig site itself in a very short time by simply removing the locking arrangements & retainers.
