Safety clamps is an mechanical device that is attached to tool strings or flush surface tubulars as they are assembled or disassembled. The safety clamp prevents the tool string from being dropped downhole accidentally if the slips or elevators securing the string lose their grip.
Autobahn Industries make Multipurpose Safety Clamps is a safe and convenient equipment to hold all types of tubulars during installation. It is made from a high grade of alloy steel duly hardened & tempered which provides greater strength and all the safety clamps pass through a series of testing namely ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing.
It can also be used while running in large-diameter surface casing, handling of drilling risers and casing heads during installation, and lifting pre-packed gravel liners. The multi-link design provides uniform pressure around the pipe so the risks of crushing the pipe or damaging the surface are minimized.
