Rotary Slips
Rotary slips are one of the most important handling tools used at onshore & offshore rigs and are used to hold the tubular firmly in the rotary table while carrying out specific operations. These slips are named as per their usage/handling of tubular i.e. drill pipe slips, drill collar slips, tubing slips, and casing slips. These Slips are classified as per the size of the tubular used and depth of the wells.
We are having three models of Rotary Slip/Drill Pipe Slip:
- Rotary Slips Short (SDS) – Load Rating: 100 Ton
- Rotary Slips Medium (SDML) – Load Rating: 150 Ton
- Rotary Slips Large (SDXL) – Load Rating: 250 Ton
Rotary slips are used in standard API Insert Bowls/Slip Bowls. Slips have an API taper of 4 inches per foot on the diameter. Due to its superior design and material, the load is distributed evenly throughout the length of the slips which helps in preventing bottlenecking damage of drill pipes. Autobahn Industries makes slips that have the maximum load-carrying capacity yet are lightly weighted, the result is a balanced design. With the help of excellent design and superior material, the slips made by autobahn industries have great strength and less wear and tear.
We have a valid API-7K License for Rotary Slip for the last 23 years. Slips are made strictly in accordance with API-7K Latest Edition to meet and exceed Quality Standards. All the Rotary Slips are supplied duly API-7K Monogrammed.

- The Inserts can be replaced at the rig site itself in a very short time by simply removing the locking arrangements & retainers.
