Pelago Management, alongside Eldorado Drilling, has announced significant progress in the journey of Project Zonda. After receiving the Atlantic Zonda drillship from Samsung Heavy Industries and completing critical upgrades at Seatrium in Singapore, the vessel successfully passed sea trials in the South China Sea. The drillship is now preparing for its next phase: a voyage to Brazil to finalize the acceptance program with Petrobras.
The collaborative effort between Pelago, Eldorado Drilling, Ventura Offshore, and several partners like Seatrium, NOV, Kongsberg Maritime, DNV, and Inchcape Shipping Services has been instrumental in bringing the Zonda Drillship to market. The teamwork and precision across all stages have been crucial to the vessel’s successful preparation for deployment in Petrobras’ offshore operations.
With its completion, the Zonda Drillship is ready to embark on its mission, marking a significant milestone for Pelago and its partners in advancing offshore drilling capabilities.
