Ocean services provider DeepOcean has entered into a long-term frame agreement with a UK-based operator to deliver diverless subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) services on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). This agreement is valid for an initial five-year period, with the option to extend for up to 10 years, including five one-year extension options.
DeepOcean has already executed two call-offs for offshore work scheduled in 2024 under this new contract. The scope of the agreement encompasses subsea IMR operations, project management, and engineering support, making it a comprehensive package for maintaining offshore infrastructure.
In a statement, Øyvind Mikaelsen, CEO of DeepOcean, highlighted the company’s core strengths in subsea IMR services. “Subsea IMR represents the core of DeepOcean’s competence, technology, and tool pool, which is tailored to help operators conduct subsea operations as safely and cost-efficiently as possible,” Mikaelsen said. “We look forward to developing a strong relationship with the client, who has a broad UKCS portfolio, over the coming years.”
DeepOcean’s Aberdeen office will serve as the operational hub for managing the deliveries and ensuring seamless execution of projects under this agreement.
This partnership strengthens DeepOcean’s presence in the UK offshore market and underscores its capabilities in providing advanced subsea solutions, helping operators maintain infrastructure while reducing risks and costs.
