  • Borr Drilling Secures Contract Extension for Ran Jack-up with Eni in Mexico

Borr Drilling has announced that its 400-ft jack-up rig Ran has received a contract extension from Eni for operations offshore Mexico.

The extension will see the Ran continue drilling for Eni from October 2025 through January 2026. The rig originally began its work for Eni in May 2025 and has since been supporting the operator’s offshore drilling campaign in Mexican waters.

Eni also holds additional options that could further extend the Ran’s operations until the end of 2026, potentially solidifying the rig’s role in the region for the next several years.

This latest award underscores both Eni’s continued activity offshore Mexico and Borr Drilling’s ability to provide high-specification jack-up rigs for demanding shallow-water projects.
