Safety clamps are indispensable tools designed to prevent the accidental dropping of casing, Drill Collars, Tubing, and other tubulars into wellbores. By avoiding such incidents, they help prevent downtime and the need for time-consuming fishing expeditions. These clamps are typically installed above Slips or spiders during the initial phases of good installation when string loads are too light to ensure sufficient grip from slip equipment.
Featuring flexibly hinged links, each Safety Clamp contains its die for gripping. Spring tension ensures continuous contact between the insert and clamp body, allowing the insert to move relative to the taper and better support the load. In case a pipe begins to fall, taper mountings within the clamps tighten around the pipe, halting further movement. Equipped with spring-loaded dies acting as shock absorbers, safety clamps provide additional axial support to prevent tubular from falling into the wellbore.
Autobahn offers a diverse range of Safety Clamps tailored to fit tubulars ranging from 2.7/8” to 36” in diameter. These clamps exert uniform gripping pressure around pipes, preventing the crushing of thin-walled pipes or damage to their surfaces.

Technical documents such as Certificate of Conformity (COC), NDE Qualification certificates, Hardness Test Certificates etc. will be provided along with the material.

- Each link complete with tapered slip is interchangeable as a unit and is readily adaptable to any diameter size from 2.7/8” to 36”
