Autobahn Industries is an API-approved manufacturer of Rotary Slip, holding a valid API-7K License for the past 23 years. Our Rotary Slips, or Drill Pipe Slips, are engineered to safely hold the drill string weight while providing a full range of operations. They play a critical role in transferring the load from the elevators to the Rotary Table.
Autobahn Industries’ slips are designed to withstand substantial dynamic loading without catastrophic failures, such as slip-toe damage, which could endanger rig crews and slow down operations. Designed for use in standard API Insert Bowls/Slip Bowls, our slips feature an API taper of 4 inches per foot on the diameter. The excellent design ensures that the load is evenly distributed throughout the length of the slips, preventing bottleneck damage to drill pipes. Made from superior, high-quality materials, our Rotary Slip offers great strength and reduced wear and tear, resulting in a longer lifespan.
Manufactured in strict accordance with the latest edition of API-7K Specifications, our Slips meet and exceed quality standards and are supplied with the API-7K Monogram.
We offer three models of Rotary Slip/Drill Pipe Slip:
1. Rotary Slip Short (SDS) – Load Rating: 100 Tons
2. Rotary Slip Medium (SDML) – Load Rating: 150 Tons
3. Rotary Slip Large (SDXL) – Load Rating: 250 Tons

- Slips can be used in 17.1/2”, 20.1/2”, 27.1/2”, 37.1/2” Master Bushing in support with Slip Bowls.
- Slips come with taper; 4 inches per foot on the diameter as per API-7K specification.
- The Inserts can be replaced at the rig site itself in a very short time by simply removing the locking arrangements & retainers.
- Products are manufactured in accordance with HSE guidelines.
