Noble Corporation, a key player in offshore drilling, continues to bolster ExxonMobil’s exploration and production initiatives in the Stabroek block, off Guyana’s coast. This strategic partnership leverages the capabilities of four state-of-the-art drillships: the Noble Tom Madden, Noble Sam Croft, Noble Don Taylor, and Noble Bob Douglas. These vessels are pivotal to the ongoing search for hydrocarbons in one of the most promising oil fields globally.
The collaboration has resulted in a significant contract extension for these mobile offshore drilling units (MODUs), amassing a total of 4.8 additional rig years. This extension shifts the conclusion of their operations from the original end date of June 2027 to August 2028, ensuring sustained momentum in drilling activities and reinforcing the continued success story of Guyana’s offshore oil sector. The extension marks an important milestone for both Noble and ExxonMobil, signaling confidence in the region’s resource potential and continued energy output.
Safety and operational excellence remain top priorities as the region anticipates further discoveries and advancements, securing Guyana’s place as a key energy hub.
